Question for you guys on here. How do I get more Horsepower out of my truck? It's all stock right now. I have an 02' Dakota Sport, Quad Cab, auto, with 4X4. So far it drives fine but I feel that it has untapped power. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

Hey mickey, what engine do you have, the 4.7? If its a 4.7, the cams from the 4.7HO motor work very well. The HO intake manifold will help out if you get your rpm's up and over the 4K range. You'll see even more results with a larger throttle body. Don't go any higher than 70mm unless you are gonnna get a super charger. A warm air intake from 360 Air intakez works well along with a high flow muffler or cat back system of your choice. I wouldn't worry about headers the exhaust manifolds already flow very well. You can also buy a highflow cat to replace your third cat. That's if you bought a truck with three cats and not one. And for the bone head who said search. If it wasn't for all these people asking these questions, we wouldn't have all of these wonderful posts to search through, that are full of knowledge, the knowledge of others voicing their pros, cons, and personal opinions of each mod to help out his/her fellow dodge dakata enthusiast.

I totally agree with you. I'm not saying that everything can be answered in a search. Obviously not. There are cases where you need answers. There are also times where even talking about it again doesn't hurt, but you have to admit in this case - this has been more then covered. There are posts about mods everyday for him. He didn't even look. He just posted...takes up bandwith...and causes everyone to sift through the rehashed crap.

Thanks for the info Black03Dakota. My truck is the 4.7L and so far everything is stock. And for the guy who said "SEARCH".... I work 12hrs a day and don't have the time to "search" through the 1000's of messages on this board. Again.. thanks for the info Black03Dak.

the most power increase that I could tell from my cousins 4.7 4x4 dakota was cutting the cats off and running turn downs after the 40 series flowmaster.
