I've got a '97 F-150 with a 4.6 with true duals and glasspacks. Sounds great, and definitely not too loud. Just because it has glasspacks doesn't mean it is overwhelmingly loud. If you paid for a tuned muffler, what did you spend? $100-$300? Be realistic. You think you are seeing substantial HP gains above glass packs? You think yours sounds better than glasspacks? My truck sounds damn good and I get many compliments. If I pay 20 times the cost of my setup, I'd like to see the pay-off, which is impossible. There are simply not enough, if any benefit to running an expensive tuned muffler. I just got a 98 Durango and will be having my muffler guy install glasspacks soon. If it sounds like a hill billy truck then there is a problem with Dodge engines, not glass packs.

Thats the same system that I had on my 97 F-150 that I traded in for my Dakota a year ago! Sounded great!
