Subject: spark plugs!!! IP: Logged
Message: Not trying to start a war but I am just amazed at the obsession with spark plugs on this site. Not a day goes by without 2 or 3 people posting as to which spark plugs to use. It pretty much goes without saying any new plug will outperform the used ones being replaced. Just my opinion.

Message: If you really want to get’em going you could always start a post extolling the virtues of some new "synthetic sparkplug". Add “Made in Japan” and “last forever” and watch the melt down.

Message: Well alot of these guys live to mod there daks so they have tried every plug allready and the majority likes the autolites so they must get along better with the magnum then other plugs do. I will be getting the autolites just becuase they get so much praise here. they must work well.

Message: Franlofter,
Couldn't help noticing about also being in AZ...interested in finding out how the Autolites ended up working for you. I've been using Champion Truck Plugs for about three years on my '96 318, and still manage to get about 19 mpg using 89 octane fuel. Hearing so many praises about Autolites has me wondering now; but, i also agree that any fresh plug will work better than an overworked one.
Whenever possible, send a line to post your response about Autolites, if you have made the switch.
Best Regards

Message: For less than $2 each, I still use OE replacement Champion plugs and change them every 30,000 miles as recommended. They perform well unless you are looking for "high" performance.
