Subject: HELP I'M MISSING IP: Logged
Message: My 1994 dakota 5.2L 5spd. manual, misses when cold, after being ran for awhile it clears up.After shutting the engine off for awhile then restarting it will miss then too. The engine also misses after a long down hill coast, when the throttle is applied it feels like either the spark or the fuel is shut off and the truck jerks until whatever it is clears up then it seems to run fine.I have replaced the throttle positioning sensor, the O2 sensor, tested the EGR valve, replaced plugs, wires, cap nothing helped.Has anyone else had this problem thanks Mike

Message: Check for MIL codes to see which cylinder is missing. Sometimes one injector will stick open causing that cylinder to flood and lower the pressure of that entire bank of injectors.

Message: I checked my codes by turning the key on off on off on. I got a 12 code and a 21 code, I have no idea what that means.

Message: Here is a page w/links to the error codes & descriptions; hope it helps. You need to scroll down a bit to the section covering the 80s & 90s vehicles.
