 Subject: Major power loss and mpg, is it the cat?

I have a 98 with the 5.2, lately I have noticed a severe lack in power and I have usually been able to get 325 miles on a tank of gas- now only 225 miles. What could it be, is it the cat?
I recently put Autolite 3923's in and it ran like a rocket for two days.
Also the temp gauge it has stayed near 210 for the last 5 months or so? Time for new Tstat??

sounds like your cat is breaking down and cloging everything up... a new cat and 180 should get you back up and running.

ha ha....... you've cooked your Kat, those colder 3923's you all rave about didn't give you a good burn, you were sending un-burnt fuel thru your Kat and now you have a dead kitty ; (
