hey i just got a 360 from 1978 and was wondering what all i need to do to swap it to my 98 rc 4 banger . i know obvious stuff like tranny , motor mounts , cross member , driveshaft, rearend , etc... i know the list goes on and i just need some more info as how detailed it will become etc. any info is helpful . thanks guys.

Ya got one of 2 ways to do it and it will take some $'s, patience and skillz.
78 isnt compatible (right away) with a 98 Dak's MPI setup and thats the parts you'll need. It can be made so by putting on a set of Magnum heads, AMC lifters, hollow pushrods and a few other small mods that I will guess you dont want to do.
Or you can get a MP ignition conversion kit, a 4bbl carb and then you have to figure out how to use your stock alternator, PS pump and AC on your premag 360. i have looked and pre mag (LA's) dont have a few bolt holes in the head for accesories.
To be quite honest with you.......unless your lookin for a lifelong project or are just looking for a dragstrip racer I wouldnt do it.
If you decide to, get ready for one hellofa brain buster, alot of research, alot of tinkering and much much patience!!

i have a 360 out of a 2001 dakota it has 42,000 miles on it i have the computer i'm looking to get 1000 bucks or best offer for it
