I hope someone can help me here. After a few mods, my 95 5.2 4x4 was running like a banchee. I just installed a Fastman 50mm TB and now it seems like I lost some low end torque. I really don't think it's the TB. It should help, if anything. Once I hit 2000rpm, I take off like a rocket. Getting there is the problem! Could I have messed up one of the sensors? They only seem to go on one way. Here is a list of mods what I have so far to help solve the problem: genric catback 2.5" exhaust-no muffler, K&N 14" Air Cleaner Assy, Fastman 50mm TB, 180* stat, MSD 8228 OEM Coil, MSD 8.5mm wires, IAT relocate, and Autolite 3923's. My tranny also shifts when I don't want it to lately. Cable adjust?
I know this sounds like a lot, but if anyone has any hints on what I should be checking next, I'd appreciate it. Really miss that low-end surge. Thanks in advance.

Joe

Actually, I get the power around 2800. I took the time to give as much detail to a problem I have. I thought for sure I'd get some responses. If ya need more info, I'd be happy to give it! (thanks Wes)

with those two problems together, i would check you throttle position sensor (tps). did you try checking your computer codes?

TPS was reading .74v before the TB install. Need to check it again. If it's possible to put the sensor back in upside down, I probably did! I'm gonna adjust my TV cable also. Thanks.

it has nothing to do with the tps.
as you add mods that increase airflow thru the engine the torque peak moves further up the rpm curve.(usually)...your torque peak may or may not now be a tad less than you had but the curve will be flatter...a good thing.

With about the same mods my 5.2 was pulling very hard at 2000 rpm , much better than stock . I think you have a problem , check the TPS .
