 Subject: Buzzing or humming from fuel pump?

I have a 02 R/T and the buzzing or humming from the fuel pump seems to be extra loud. I understand you will hear some noise but this can be heard from several feet away. Does anyone know if this is normal or is it coming from something other than the fuel pump. Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same situation with my '94 after I changed the fuel pump assy. I noticed the noise almost immediatly, but (obvisouly) it gets loader with an emptier tank. I don't know if it is "normal" but my pump is still going strong a year later.
