Subject: 3rd cat IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2001 4x4 and never noticed a third cat. Are they on all models? I thought they stopped putting the 3rd one on in late 2000 sometime....
Anyone know the scoop?

Message: States with strict emissions = 3 cats,
States like CT with "loose" emissions = 1 cat.
That is about the sum of it all.

Message: Well I think it's "resonator" with a catalyst in it. That to me makes it a catalytic convertor of some sort. No one said emmisions was easy.
8-)
Doesn't make a difference tho...some seem to have them and some don't. The question remains which ones do and don't. If some do and others don't depending on state they're built for...does that mean that dealers can't trade between states? Seems like someone at Dodge would have thought of that already and made apples to apples to avoid all that.
