It is an exhaust leak, valve trane ticking only happens at idle, when you hit the gas the hydraulic lifters pump up with oil. Your exhaust leak is more than likely caused by a bad exhaust manifold gasket, try to identify wich side of the vehicle it is coming from as this will reduce the chance you will change the wrong side.
