Message: i just bought a 99 grand cherokee with a 4.7 engine in it,it has 120k on the engine its running rough even after i did a tune up on it, some mechanic told me i had a head gasket problem i want to know how much will i spend for the repairs ...

Message: Don,t let them do only one head. You need a matching set plus......Buy the very best head gaskets you can. I've never bought a set but I understand there are some much better ones avalable for use with a S/C .

Message: They are aluminum heads. Hopefully the previous owner did not overheat the engine. They could be warped. And that would suck. But may be repairable by milling, etc.
