 Subject: squeak

I am getting a squeak from my engine, I dont know if it is the waterpump, tensioner or fan. It sounds like a high pitched squeal that isnt constant. Does any one know how to pinpoint it? 1998 cc sport 4x4 5.2

I had (have) the same problem on my 02 QC 4.7. Took it to the dealer last week. They replaced the idler pulley and tensioner pulley. It's alot better, but still seems to squeak occationally. I'm going to take it back again. Hopefully they can solve it for good.
