Subject: Non-drastic 5.2 performance mods IP: Logged
Message: Hey everyone. I have a '97 5.2 Dakota, 2WD, and I'm looking to give it a little more pep. I've had a Flowmaster 50 series on the stock pipe for a couple of years, and I'm considering Mopar headers, possibly a dual exhaust, a K&N cold air intake, and MAYBE a Hypertech performance programmer (Unless someone knows of a Mopar chip for the 5.2L '97 Federal). Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Message: '92 or '93 factory exhaust manifolds were considerably bigger, if you want to avoid headers. Catco or similar free-flow converter. 2-3" lowering helps handling/ speed stability / mpg.

Message: Thanks for the input. B1llyw, did you notice any significant improvement on your Dakota w/ the Mopar chip?
