Message: Getting a shorter belt and not running it on ac will do something, give you a hot cab in the summer, I think you get a little Hp gain not much I used to do that when i was a kid but now at 40 and living in AZ I need my AC. the cluch fan i think might be a better option.

Message: The clutch fan is located on the front of the motor and is belt driven. Removing it frees up a little horsepower that would have otherwise been used to turn the fan.
Don't remove it unless you have an electric fan on your radiator.
Same with the accessories like air cond compressor, alternator, power steering, etc. Some drivers bypass these at the track with a shorter belt to free up a little extra power.
I'd consider that a 'track only' mod unless you can live without your A/C, which I doubt really uses much power unless it's on.
BTW, when you run your defroster, your A/C compressor is engaged, so turn off the defroster when you want a little extra oomph.

Message: Gina, I believe you meant that you want to remove the engine driven cooling fan, which is a clutch fan.
Replacing it with an electric fan, such as a Flexalite Black Magic 150, will net you about 5-10 HP.

Message: I was thinking about removing my Clutch fan but I am worried about overheating, Anyone done this in Hot AZ got through summer with only electric fan?? What if Electric fan fails Kinda risky in my opinion just for a few HP gain.

Message: franlofter,
to tell you the truth i didnt see a whole lot of gain. it reved a little quicker but not noticable try it. take it off drive it if no change then put it back on it only takes like 5 minutes with the turbo im not risking overheating with the added power i dont think i will see a big difference form it being installed. i live in P.V.
