Subject: Fuel pressure guage installation, WACK! IP: Logged
Message: Ok so right now I'm running autometer's sport-comp series boost and a/f guage right, well I've been having trouble with her running rich and just for monitoring purposes I decided that I'll run a fuel pressure guage also. So here is the guage part number 3363 pretty straight forward, 2-1/16 full sweep with the sending unit included.
Well I just got off the phone with autometer and they said that chrysler's test port in the fuel rail is a wack size so my alternatives are tapping into the pressurized line running to the rail or sending my fuel rail out and have someone tap threads in for autometers 1/8 sending unit.
Both these options seem to be a pain in the a$$ so has anyone heard of an adapter for the 4AN connector on our fuel rails that will connect properly to the 1/8 sending line? From what the autometer guy had to say nobody is making specific pressure guages for chryslers fuel rail test port.
Anyone have a solution? Who is running a fuel pressure guage and how did you do it? The ONLY good news from autometer is the guy said with that unit an isolator is not needed.
thanks a ton!

Message: hey eric, nah' man I have an a/f gauge. I found the part that jason above was talking about but now I'm inquiring about a 4-5ft steel braided line with the 4an @ one end and 1/8npt at the other. It's a holley/nos product and the tips are anodized, they say custom lengths are available but I'm trying now to find out I can get my hands on them. Off the shelf they come up to 2ft long but that wont work.

Message: well, i have a double piller pod with boost guage and autometer AF guage. i just got a great deal on a split second AF guage, and since its rectangle, it will not fit in the pillar.
im going to install this guage in its place
http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=NRD%2DM8034G
but just wanted to get all the parts at one time to hook it up.

Message: from summit too bro. here is the tech's message
This line will have female 4AN fittings already attached to it. You will simply need to purchase the adapter fitting for the fuel rail separately. The part number and price for this line are as follows:
Part Price
Quantity Number Each Description
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1 NOS-15250 $ 26.39 Stainless Steel Braided Hose ``Teflon Lined`` 4AN 4ft. Blue Fittings
Parts Grand Total: $26.39
then I'm also going to need this, for the autometer sending line
1 NOS-17960 $ 4.69 Fitting ``Blue`` 4AN-1/8`` NPT Adapter
so for 30 bucks + shipping I'll have it setup nicely. My color scheme for my bay is black/blue so it works out perfectly.
