Subject: eletrical problem IP: Logged
Message: alright heres the problem i have a 94 dak. with the 318, 4x4, On the steering wheel theres the horn and cruise. None of it works any more. I have checked fuses, relays, everything. The horn is still good cause i checked it by taking a wire to it from the battery. Has any one ever had a problem like this. Please help i don't have a horn or cruise

Message: Sounds like the contact between your steering wheel and steering shaft is broken. take off steering wheel and test the continunity in those wires, clean the contacts.

Message: check your clockspring if you have one in that early of a model dak. im having a brain fart right now, so im not quite sure.

Message: i have a similar problem on my 95 somedays my cruise wont work and then other days i'll be driving along and it just kicks on out of the blue and i feel the pedal go down under my feet and my horn works sometimes too its usually one or the other works so on trips i always hope its the cruise that works instead of my horn

Message: Just maybe its in your turn signal on the steering column. Thats what my problem was on my 1999. Good luck.

Starts cold very well But will not start after running for short time. I go back three or four hours truck will start. ??
