Subject: new headers IP: Logged
Message: 97 5.2 5spd xcab 4x4, so far all I got is a K&N FIPK. I want to put in gibson catback and headers, but I don't have a whole lot of experience. the K&N was easy enough, but how hard is it to put those in yourself.

Message: ITs not hard to do the headers if you have tools and a jack. Otherwise, take it to a greasy muffler shop on a Sat morning and have one of the guys do it while you watch. Being that you'll need to weld the collector to something.
Pay em cash and youll get a nice setup..althought the tree hugger nazis may not approve!

Message: im 19 and me and my friend installed the gibson headers on my r/t in about 3 hours. the hardest part was tightening the bolts on the new headers cause there is like no room for your hands to work. but it is easy to get the old exhaust manifolds off. id say if ur alone and a beginner, it will take about 4 hours.

Message: If you are so inclined to salvage search, '92 or '93 manifolds were about 1/4" bigger on each port.
