Duner is running an intercooler, but he also runs 110 octane gasoline in his tank at every race. He has run 14 psi on a regular basis, and the intake has not split yet. He's been running with this set-up at the track on a regular basis for over a year now.
As for low compression pistons, yes, some new pistons would help out Duner's setup. But until he injures the stock pistons, there's no reason to worry about it. And his stock pistons seem to be holding just fine.....

Yeah Duner has the baddest 4.7 but I like this dakota too the movie will show its worthyness. Here's the scoop, It's an S10 4.3 vortec intake, chip, and exhaust VS. a 4.7 S/C dak. I'll create a second link to the page I got this from so you can read the little story so you know why the S10 was dumb enough to even want to race a stock 4.7 dak. Seeing that you saw one movie I though you'd like this movie too!

Another trash talker. We've all seen Duner's movies and set-up, now let us see yours. A 14 second CRX isn't gonna cut the cheese either.
Maybe after you throw a muffler bearing, Duner can even tow you home.

Well sorry fellas, its not a 14 second CRX. Its a 12.6 92 Hatchback, with full interior and running sh*tty as all hell. I have a vaccuum leak and the tuning was off on that run. Well Duner you ran at Firebird so I take it you are in AZ, so do u wanna race?!?!?

You are right I can up the jets! Whats wrong with nitrous? Its a power adder just like a turbo. I'll smoke Duner All-Motor to All-Motor or Power Adder to Power Adder! Which do you prefer?

just out of curiosity jpsec2k, what car/motor combo do you have, and do you just have nos or turbo too, im not knocking you or saying you dont have what you have, but i used to be a fellow ricer, i had a 12.2 eclipse awd, and im just curious, let me know, also i think with the new jets it sounds like it will be a close race, laterz

I sure would like to run you at that event, it sounds like a good time. Unfortunately I'm not going to be in town that weekend. Can we make it another weekend? If we're both local vehicles it shouldn't be hard to hook up for a pass or two. I was at SpeedWorld last friday night and at the Pavillions on saturday night. I raced it in Vegas 3 weekends ago and raced it in Tucson a couple of weekends before that. I've also also raced it in Topeka Kansas, and at Pomona and Carlsbad in California. If you couldn't tell..... I like to race! hehehe
As far as an all motor race..... I don't think you'd get past me just running 14.0s. (That's right - I think my truck runs 13's in NA form). That must be one light Honda for you to drop 1.4 seconds with just an 80 shot! Don't let that 12.46 number in the video fool you. That was with poor track conditions (typical Firebird) and 90+ degree air at the Truckin' Nationals.
And even if you did smoke me..... there's no shame in getting beat if it's by something going faster! If you can get past me with a Honda then more power to you! That'd be great! The only catch is that you have to actually do it. Comparing numbers on the internet doesn't do it for me..... too many variable between trips to the track. I wanna race side by side to see who turns on the win light. I've beaten quite a few cars to the traps that were quicker.... reaction times count in match races! hehehe

You got it man! When you get back in town we'll race. I would just love to see your truck personally haulass with all 4000lbs of ya there! The 14.02 was all motor on street tires. The 12.6 is with slicks and an 80 shot. I want to try the 100 but when the vaccum leak is fixed and the motor tuned right, I'll hit 11's. My motor is a GSR B18C1 Block with a B16 head. For those who dont understand, its a 1.8L block with a 1.6L head. I dont have a roll cage in the street car so I have to stay above a 12.0 Duner can u hang? If you really want to see a honda move look for "PIPE DREAMS" late this year at IDRC. Thats me and my buddies 9 sec Hatch in the works. Full fiberglass frame, on a chromoly tube frame chasis. Right now with out motor its about 1100lbs. That motor going in is a B18B Dart Block closed deck stroked from a 1.8L to a 2.192L with a 95mm crank. Then we slap a 225 shot on it. You might want to watch Duner, cuz it will probably be at Firebird. Its a 92 Hatch also painted a rust orange bottom with a black top. Its clean so look for it. And for all the ricer jokes keep em comin they make me laugh. I make fun of those guys too. Just remember some import guys actually spend money on their motors!!!!!!!!!!!!

The best ET/MPH combo so far is a 12.46@116 mph but with a poor 60' time at Firebird. The truck has done some mid 1.7 60' times at SpeedWorld. That's with a race weight of 4283 lbs. I'm in the middle of a couple of "changes" to the truck, so getting booted from the track will probably be a normal exercise. Nothing too radical - but it all helps. I don't have any pics of the present set-up..... except for the little tiny ones that have made it into a couple of magazines. Not that you can actually tell anything in those pics though.
That jump between the 14.02 and the 12.60 with just an 80 shot makes more sense to me now..... the change from street tires to slicks is bound to help a bunch. I've got nothing against "import" guys..... real racers are racers in my book. I just have trouble getting excited about neon, wings and stickers.
I'll certainly watch for your 9 second hatch also. I've got a couple of races planned in the coming couple of months anyway...... we're bound to cross paths.
Right now the truck is hooked to my car trailer.... with some sand toys on it and all my stuff for the dunes. Gotta get one last weekend in before it gets too hot out there!

Just for the record FORD has the baddest 4.7L engine and its a classic! Their 4.7L 289, yeah you herd me right the 289! If you ever hear that thing at 10,000 rpm, its amazing! No other 3,4,6,10, etc. cylinder car sounds quite like a v8, and no other v8 sounds quite like the 289! You can get 500 hp out of it all motor and thats before you start to go to exotic heads, intake manifolds, and other things. Not bad for an engine that lacks an OHC!
