Subject: Differential problems IP: Logged
Message: I've had my truck in twice now for a bad differential. They've claimed to have replaced the gears and pinions twice. However, the same noise in the rear-end still occurs between 40 & 50 mph.
Now, I noticed a leak from the axle seals at the wheels. What gives? Any thoughts as I get to the Dodge service center for a THIRD time?

Thanks

Message: take it in one more time. and tell them if its not fixed this time you will be contacting the heads of DC.
my brothers 2000 grand cherokee has been in 3\4 times in 5 weeks. he is losing coolant somewhere and they cant find out where its going. no leaks in the driveway, it has clean oil, no burning smell from exhaust. he has to fill it every 3rd day. they changed a gasket and thermostat and flushed the system. its still losing coolant! is in there right now as im typing this. they "think" thye have found the problem. if its not fixed we are going to be contacting someone with better authority.

Message: KovzR6: I'm no Dallylamma, but I'd change the rad cap. Laugh if you will. Do a preasure leak test on the cooling system (Use the cap in the test kit), and I bet you'll see that it's good. then do a preasure leak test on rad the cap alone. Then laugh at the DC tech. for not picking up on this one
