thank you for getting off the negative. i just wanted to share the story and video. i like the hood, and thats what matters. with the redone intake and hood combo, i get 18 mpg driving 60 miles a day to work. in 2 weeks i will go on a road trip and see what she gets on the highway.

To me it doesn't look like the guy in the boxter really knows how to drive.....even when i'm driving slowly on the track waiting to pass, i still shoot my lines properly....the boxter guy was just throwing it into turns and driving like complete booty.

One last thing, the boxster driver had the camera mounted in his car, he wasnt holding it. Could he have been driving so as to get the best video of his buddy in the Dakota that asked for the help? You can hear the rev of his engine too, never really sounded like he was all in it. I woulda done the same thing (asked a buddy to film me driving). It was a great idea, and looked like fun. But, beating the boxster, eh... still dont believe it.

The Dakota handles very well, especially with some good meat and a Hotchkis suspension. I know this first hand. However, my stock 1990 RX-7 GXL will own my truck on the roadcourse. Awesome job on the track. Just the nature of the Dakota, it will never ever handle as well as a car created for road courses. However, with a good setup and a decent driver, you can do very well at a friendly weekend event.
