 Subject: K & N FIPK for 4.7 v8

Does anyone ave the FIPK for the 4.7? If so! I was wondering! WOuldn't u think it would work better without the heat shield? It seems kinda big and restricting..Let me know what all u guys thought.

Don't waste the $200, I built one that is probably better with a cold air box made of galvanized tin flashing and a big 2" rubber seal around the top of it to seal the box. k&n filter and all the parts cost $67 and I gained just as much if not more than any intake out there. I also drilled the elbow right before the air box and relocated the IAT there with the proper rubber grommet, the fit is sweet all around and I just ran longer wires to the sensor and loomed it.
