Anybody have the TFX split rear cat back exhaust system on their dak? I have a 98 5.2L 4x4 extended cab. How does it sound? Would it be possible to swap pacesetter muffler for a flowmaster or magnaflow? Thanks

One of my friends has a Pacesetter cat back on his '02 w/a 4.7 and it sounds pretty decent- it's pretty quiet though and is only 2 1/2".

If you want a Magna Flow or a Flowmaster you would probably be better off buying and installing the muffler you want and run down to an exhaust shop to have tailpipes installed - might be cheaper too.

Thanks for your help, I had thought of that, but just assumed that a having a professional do it would cost me more money. But, anything worth doing is worth doing right, so I may as well scrape together some extra cash and get what I really want. Thanks again.

On the topic of Pacesetter exhaust parts, I've been considering putting on one of thier chrome tips (dirty-rust doesn't look good) to quiet down the noise a bit, but I don't want to lose the tone that the Dynomax was able to produce. Anyone have any experience with these?

...and is there a way to not have the inside be yellow?
