Message: You use the same wiring harness as a 318. You can run a 360 with a 318 computer, but it won't run as well as it would with a 360 computer. Get a Mopar 360 pcm and you'll be all smiles with that setup. I'm actually doing a 408 swap myself. I'm going to run the 8 1/4 until it breaks.

Message: Will the 360 mopar performance computer work for the 408? Where do I get a 360 computer for a 1993. They didnt offer the 360 in that year. Anyone have a part number? Will the 318 work in the 408?
Break your rear? Ouch. How about the trans. I hear they are only good up to 400HP. 408ci will push that easilly with the right top end.

Message: You can run a 93 Ram 360 computer on a 92 or 93 Dakota with no problem. I'm actually running a 95 Ram 360 computer on the 318 in my '95 Dak with no problems. The newer trucks tend to freak out when you do this though. You would want P5249517 for your truck.
Your trans should hold up. I'd do a shift kit and a good converter and then let it rip. In my case, I'm going to have a 408/5 speed combo. The NV3500 won't hold up to as much power as your 46RH.

Message: Someone at Moparchat.com posted a complete list of what is needed to put a 360 in a Gen II. It is all pretty much common sense.
Hope this helps

B1llyw: I thought I had the A518. I'm not positive though.

Message: Here is my problem. I want to swap a fuel injected 360 into my v6 1993 dakota. So i think i would need the wiring harness along with a new computer. I was wondering if maybe some place made a wiring harnesses for putting a v8 into a v6 dakota.
Thanks
