 Subject: 92 5.2 Throwing 1227 code

My 1992 5.2 4x4 is throwing 1227 as a code. What's it mean, anyone??? Thanks!

chiltons does not list code 1227. you may be getting code 12 and code 27 the other codes the pcm can throw all start outh with a P but you did not say that code 12 is Memory to controller has been cleared within 50-100 engine starts and code 27 is injector control circuit- bank out put driver stage does not respond properly to the control signal.. If you have a local Auto Zone, go there and they will scan the computer with a scan tool and get the p code you need to see exactly what is going on. the number only code says something in an area is going wrong, but not exactly what is wrong.
