Message: I am thinking about buying some lakewood hd traction bars. I have a 97 w/5.2l 5spd. Will these help with my wheel hop prob. If yes how much. Just want to hear some of your opinions on them. Thanks.

Message: Lakewoods are OK, but save your $30. Try spring clams, they help jsut as much as the lakewoods and are under $10. What I hear is the best is the roadmaster active suspension, jsut need to wait for my 4by4 to arrive to I can install them and find out, but these are $200ish...

Message: get the clamps and the bars, then later if u have about 200 bucks invest in the comp engineering traction bars. i used to own the same truck as u in 2x4 and it had mad wheelhop like turbguys mom on a friday night.
