Yeah, cool if it's true. If it were true, I wonder why he wouldn't post it up on SilveradoSS.com? They have a list of the quickest SSSs and his isn't on there. Nothing on Dragtruk either.
I'm not buying it.

Well if you haven't noticed that GM have crappy bodies then you are blind. Chevrolet 4wd full size pickups generally weigh ove 5000lbs the more loaded they are the more over 5000lbs they are. Look here to see a 5100lb chevy.

http://www.fordvehicles.com/trucks/f150/compare/details/?vehicles=14116|13527|13103|14378

It is just a fact that GM builds poorly constructed bodies. I think my post explains a true comparrison between a GMC (higher build quality than a Chevy) and threee other vehicles. I'm not exagerating one bit. Every manufacturer decides where to cut corners when building their vehicles. Ever notice how all of the older chevy trucks have a rust hole in the rear of the cab? I've never seen one in a Ford or a Dodge. Hmmm?

Well, I can't remember the last time a chevy enthusiast argued with me over body build quality. Anyway, just goes to show that everyone looks at different atributes when buying a vehicle. Funny how an engines rated HP can distort someone's perception of the whole vehicle.
I'm not saying that Dodges are the best built of the big three. I would put them somewhere in the middle between Ford and Chevy. In my experience Ford has generally built the more stout, if less exciting bodies of the big three.

Sure is funny to me how Dodge can say that the R/T 10 is the fastest production truck there is when the Ford Lightin is in the Guiness Book Of World Records as the the fastest production truck to date. So I guees till Dodge can prove it they need to quit runnin there heads. Don't guess it really matters because the new Lightin is going to be 500 H.P. anyway. So what's Dodge gonna brag about then. Something they wish they could lay claims to. Guess Dodge better go back to the garage & do some more homework.

Guess it's too late for FORD to come up with 500hp Lightning. Already been done HA HA. Gotta make you wonder what that would be like with a Supercharger on it. Oh, but, wait! Even then, there will be someone with a Lancer EVO or Subaru WRX that just spanks that truck when a race occurs and for $15-$20K less. Yep! Still a Truck. Not a car. Can't wait to see all the people line up to over pay for that house on wheels.
I also can't wait to see the MPG sticker on that thing 8 CTY 10 HWY Welcome back to the Sixties. You would think humans would learn from there mistakes. Anyone remember the Fuel embargo? What makes people think that there is more fuel on the planet 30 years later DUH.
I'm sorry but that kind of MPG or HP is not an improvement over the sixties. Ok the highest production HP engine from the muscle car era 450HP, but, that was a 7.4L and the viper is over 8.0L now. THe 454 probably got better MPG too LMAO 10 CTY 12HWY. What good, really, is all of the technology doing other than cleaning up the air. I guess manufacturers have been just building up the small displacement engines for the last 30 years. Because, I don't see a lot of improvement in the V8 arena.

Guys, isn't there a new Ram with a 500hp engine? I've seen a commercial where a bunch of cars just have their doors ripped off as something goes by. Then in the end you see a big Ram and everybody drives by with no doors admiring the truck. The announcer says something about a 500hp engine. Isn't that a Ram RT or RS or something? I'm not big on full-size trucks, so excuse the ignorance. Point is, that F150 is already behind the times and is simply Ford once AGAIN copying Dodge.

RAMDAKOTA,the v8's of today are far more effecient than the old one of the 60's.E.F.I and overdrive help alot.the 405hp(net)z06 gets almost 30mpg on the highway an high-teens to low 20's in the city, not bad.the 500hp viper gets better mpg than you'd think with the.50 overdrive, the srt-10 ram has the same trans. gearing too.

Well, The SRT-10 truck does do a little better due to the six speed trans. These are "Car and Driver" magazine MPG numbers
PROJECTED FUEL ECONOMY
EPA city driving 10 mpg
EPA highway driving 15 mpg
C/D-observed 12 mpg
But, I think that if the older 450HP 454 had the same trans mission it would do the same if not better. Don't for get to add aerodynamics into the equation. The new vette is way more aero than any muscle car. So are most of the new trucks for that matter LOL.

Yeah I thought of the tag after I posted. SRT, not RT. Doesn't that sucker have 500hp now? And if that ain't enough, how about the new Chrysler engine for Cadillac? The V12 with over 1000hp! That'd beat the heck out of even the SRT!
