Subject: Shift Improver Kits IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2001 Dakota R/T. As i have posted before i am getting ready for the track. I was looking to buy a shift kit for my truck but was a little supprized by the lack of options there was available. The only kit that i found was a kit from transgo and it was like $125. If anyone has any other ideas please let me know. Thanks Matt.

Message: Jam R/T - Just curious how harsh the shifts are in normal driving conditions, and when your foot is in to it does it shift real hard!?Aswell what did you pay with instalation? Really been thinking about getting one.

Message: I have the TCI kit installed, it cost me $90 after tax and s/h (from www.tciauto.com , summitracing is actually cheaper, but may not be in for immediate shipping) i installed it myself in about 5-6 hours (long weekend, i wasn't hurried). Shifts at normal driving speeds are not uncomfortable at all, floor it and it'll chirp the tires in the 1-2 shift though :-D. P#220500 for the A500/A518 kit. oh, i have a '98 RC R/T with headers and better air cleaner.
