Subject: 3.9L to 5.2/5.9L swap IP: Logged
Message: What parts are needed to do this swap. What I've found so far is the mounts are the same and just the engine, exhaust manifolds/headers, engine harness/computer and fan shroud need to be changed. Is there anything else I'm overlooking? Thanks in advance.

Message: You will need an oil pan & pickup tube to fit a Dak/durango. They are different for the 318 and the 360. You may need a fuel rail, fp regulator, and holddown bracket depending on the year of the truck and the year of the engine being swaped in. The earlier engines (pre-94) had the fp regulator mounted on the fuel rail instead of in the fuel tank like newer versions. The throttle cable may need to be changed also. If you are using a 360, weight on either the flexplate or torque converter will be necessary.
