Subject: Good shop in LA area?

I have a '99 5.2L V8 and I want to port the intake manifold and replace the plenum gasket, but I don't have the time or the tools. Can anyone recommend a good shop in the LA area, where they know Magnum engines? Preferably close to Torrance or Redondo Beach?

Hey, I am down in SD... I have a stock BB that you could port, then swap me back your stocker... I have a good friend I work with down here that's a mopar guy 100%, and does most all of the engine work for people I deal with now. Reasonably priced, fast, and thorough. Mine has a good belly gasket (which you'd remove to port anyway)... Let me know.

I have seen a shop on Hawthorne blvd maybe a half mile or so north of Torrance blvd on the west side of the street. There is a sign there that says they build engines 'mild to wild'. I have not been able to find a phone number or anything about them. Other than that place, I don't know of any shops around here. Let me know if you find someplace, cuz I will need it when my engine blows.

2000 4.7 CC auto, clear corners, Magnaflow catback, Kenne Bell s/c.

Sam, I'll be visiting family in SD next weekend so I'll give you a call. I couldn't leave the truck for more than a day though, cause I have to get back to work in LA.
J, I'll check that place out on Hawthorne and let you know if they do work on Magnums. It must be down the street from Dodge World.
Thanks guys.

I have the intake-- you could 'borrow it' to do your porting ahead of time-- come down on a Friday night/Saturday morning, and be back in LA Saturday night...

:)
