Did you hook everything back up correctly? If it started before and doesn't now, it's something you left out in your reassembly process.

If the chain slipped, it would most likely run, but be rough as hell. Gotta be another answer if it hasn't slipped that much.

imnomachanic,
Did you recheck the right cam target wheel for damage? What about the crankshaft or camshaft position sensors for proper installation? Here's an warning excerpt from the instructions.
CAUTION: Do not hold or pry on the camshaft target wheel for any reason, Severe damage will occur to the target wheel. A damaged target wheel could cause a vehicle no start condition.
I hope this helps out or at least gives you some ideas. Good luck.

Lets use our heads kiddies... Does it crank over? Is there spark? Is there fuel?

If you're wondering if the timing chain is indexed correctly then run a compression check.

You really need to give more detailed information about the symptoms.

We did two trucks back to back in my garage-at home.

On the second truck, it would start, but didn't run right. Turned out to be an oxymoronic mistake- one of the rocker arms(they just sit on there)had gotten knocked off, and a recheck didn't even notice it! I felt like an idiot-oh that's right, I am an idiot!

I guess you checked the rocker arms with the valve cover off? Sounds like they may be knocked off.

Todd did you get it running, if so check the oil pressure, you may have nicked a cam bearing, and cause it to seize

Cam on right side may be way off, better recheck your installation if she's sucking when she ought to be puffing. See this with jumped timing belts on 4 bangers quite often, put your hand over their tailpipe and feel vacuum instead of pressure. Haven't had a good look at our cams yet, could you have installed it 180 degrees off ?

It sounds like the cam is 180 degrees off if you are generating a vacuum. I was lucky that my install went correctly, but I took my sweet time to make sure all went well.

Before you get too far, check to make sure everything a normal motor needs to run is in order. Battery is connected, no loose wires, etc. Does the motor try to turn over, do you hear any activity, etc. We need a little more to go on other than it won't start.

If all checks out, I would set the motor to TDC and check the cam positions before ripping them out. I would bet you have the right cam off by 180 degrees +/- a few.

If the position checks out, mark the positions and begin to tear it down. I would suspect you've screwed a bearing. Worst case, you've knocked off a rocker or slipped a chain.

Let us know what you find.

I will bet that the sprocket on that side of the engine was not keyed on the cam and the cam is not turning. You cannot install the cam 180 out. There is only one position.
