Anybody install the Hellwig Helper springs on their Dakota.

Installed the 1,000 Lb set - 1998 Dakota 5.2 4x4 - raised the back end by about 3/8 inch. Installed to help keep truck level when trailer is hooked up - Have not put the trailer on yet - Thought somebody might be able to tell me if they have encountered problems.

I put on "Super Springs" 3500lbs weight limit. It raised my back end about an inch. In my instructions it stated that this would happen.

2000 4x4

And no I don't plan on loading that much stuff in the back. I just got a good deal on them.

Have you added a load the your truck - if so have the extra springs kept it level -

Plan on hooking up the trailer this weekend - That will be the test if the back end does not settle. Truck and trailer were "matched" but I don't think the shop did it on level ground.

Installed the Hellwig 1000lb helper springs. Hooked-up to trailer and without the weight distribution bars connected I had a drop of about 5 inches on the back of the vehicle - Cannot say that the springs have helped that much - With the hitch bars installed I lost about 2 inches in rear height.
