The IAT adjuster measures the temperature of the air coming into the intake and sends this info to the PCM. The PCM then adjusts the A/F ratio accordingly.

Let me add a little to that explanation...
The IAT sensor is what measures the tempurature of the incoming air. To make it simple, this is just a variable resistor that changes resistance based on the temp. of the air it is in. The computer checks the resistance from this sensor to decide timing and how much fuel to put in.
The IAT adjuster is simply a variable resistor that allows the user to physicly tell the computer what the temp. is.
This can be a good thing. If the temp. is set lower than it actualy is outside then the computer will change the timing and spray more fuel, making more power. Both the comercialy available units and the wiring plans call for a switch that allow you to choose between using the stock sensor and using the mod. This way you can get performance when you want it and run stock when you want to with the flip of a switch.

The item in question..the IAT adjuster is a parafactual air pressure positive displacement accumlator. Its duty is to check the enthalpy of the incoming rush of ambient air temp and density compensating it with 350000 mfd capacitance flux incursion.After an intial reading of 40 giga ohm super inductance,the IAT adjusts the potentiometer to increase or decrease the amount of reflux voltage going into the the IAT inverter. This in turn boosts rwh by about 0.5 .
