do a search for 'tow hooks'. there have been a few guys on here that came up with a pretty nifty solution.

Looks like a plan to me. Going to need to do something for my new truck when it comes in. Have you thought about some sort of a kicker bar to attach to the back bolt of the hook and tie it off to the frame about a foot or so behind, so that it will work in pure tension?
