Hello all, I have a couple of easy questions.

1. I bought my 3923 sparkplugs today, I understand what a sparkplug gap is, but how do I change it if necessary? just bend it?

2. Installing my IAT ADjuster. which deal to I splice into on my throtlle body, the grey one or the black one?

3. When attempting to set my TPS voltage, I drill out the brass...But how do I actually set the voltage? Is it the tightness of the screws? Where do I attach the volt meter to test this?

Thanks, I know the answers are around somewhere, but I usually end up sorting through tons of stuff with no luck on the search engine.

For the spark plugs, just go to your local auto parts store and tell them you are looking for a plug gapping tool. It has a little thingy on it for bending the electrode and a way to measure it as well.
Sorry, I've never done the other 2 mods.

For the TPS it is the back 2 wire sfor teh voltage out if I rememebr correctly. what you want to do is drill out the brass and put washers under the screws. Get it on the truck and put the key in the on position. Rotate the TPS until the voltage is in the .7-.75V range. THen tighten down the screws to lock in this position... made a slight difference for me but mine was at .62 already.

The IAT is on your intake manifold, not your TB.

It's on the manifold right next to the tb on the driver's side.

Ok, I found the IAT Sensor...I think. Is it the one with the red striped wire and the green striped wire?

Also why does the IAT Adjuster wire have four wires? Two white and two black?

Sorry, when it comes to anything electrical Im scared and stupid. Thanks for the help

Crusty,

reminds me of 'The Simpsons' Crusty the Clown!

If you can pull up the instructions on the SpeedTweaks site, they will help a bunch. I did mine, about two years ago, moving it to the intake tube is probably a better way to go anyway. I think it only had Two wires to it.

Although I haven't done the TPS mod yet, (I've a 5spd), I think you drill out the brass some, put it back on and just snug it up, so you can move it some, and the voltage will change, when it's where you want it(the votage), tighten it up so it won't move.

Good luck
