Message: For the 2004 Maxima, Motortrend put it doing 0-60 in 6.3 seconds, but they also got the new Altima with 245hp to do 5.95 0-60. I do agree with Demon Dakota, they are not the best quality right now, but they are a new car, the bugs need to be worked out of it.

Message: Well the '04 Max is riding on the same platform as the Altima. Hopefully they don't make the mistake of using the same materials and workmanship as the Altima. The Murano is also based on the Altima platform, and it's actually way better quality, so there is hope I suppose.

Message: I have a white 2001 gtp and I have raced a firebird 3800 series and I have no trouble. But as far as I know, the only stock Dodge truck to give me a run for my money is the r/t 5.9L v8 dakota. The light body running with the 360 engine creates a good combo.

Message: Dont fret deno, first year vehicles for a dakota would apply to 97s, they had alot of problems with these. Your 200 had a few changes but forget the brakes electrical and other problems the 97s had.

Message: i had a 97 2 door gtp with 125,000 miles on it and would still catch second with no problem. ive raced many 5.9 r/ts and only lost once because he got out of the hole faster. i had a thrasher intake, 3 inch pulley, borla exhaust, 9mm taylor plug wires, new computer, lowered performance stance, thrasher rebuild kit for my tranny, fuel pressure regulator, and new traction bars. my car ran perfect up until about a month ago when my tranny went out with 135,000 miles on it. now i have a POS 04 nissan frontier which im trying to total so i can buy the gtp back from the guy i sold it to. i never brought the car to a track but i beat cars that were running mid 14's.
