Message: You should only get bigger fuel injectors if you have done enough modification to your engine that the stock ones will not flow enough fuel causing a lean condition. The injectors will not cause a loss in mileage, the mod's that require them will. Now you can change out your stock ones for some 19 lb FMS and it will improve your throttle response b/c they use 4 spray holes where the stock only have 1. This allows the fuel atomise in the air better.

Message: Well it depends on which motor you have as to what your injectors are, doesn't it? I mean, I've played with mine, but I haven't changed them out or anything. Hell, I had to pull the whole fuel rail and injectors when I did my HO Intake (which was harder than I thought it would be). It'd be real easy to swap the injectors.

Message: Do you have to get a fuel rail and new injectors, or at least a fuel rail when you get the new HO intake?

Message: Nope, although after seeing how easy it would be to make my own, I though about doing a cooled fuel rail like someone else here on the board. I just can't remember who the heck it was (Duner maybe).

Message: You can't buy one, you have to make it yourself. I think he ran a copper tube with water flowing through it around his fuel rail and then insulated the whole thing. I can't remember exactly how it worked. He wrapped the tube into a coil around something for heat exchange.
