Message: There have been some posts on this but I can't remember on which boards. If you go to flowmaster.com they have .wav files that you can click on to hear samples of the various models. While this may not be entirely accurate it will give you an idea. They also have bar-charts to indicate the decibel level in relation to the OEM product.

Message: V6er, Audie is right on this. Go to the Flowmaster website and check out all the different Series of mufflers that flowmaster offers. One word of caution though...All of the flowmaster exhausts have that deep throat sound but the interior noise levels are different. I have the 40 series on my Chevelle but would not put that on my Dak. The reason is that my Dak is a daily driver and would not like all the interior noise when crusing down the freeway. Of course if you like the loud sound, then the 40 series is definitely the muffler for you. Just food for thought.

Message: I had the 40 put on my 98 318 with two pipes out with 3" tips at the corners. It sounded great, interior noise was ok, but I did not mind. After breaking the brackets several times, I had the pipes cut and turned down before the axle. It is much louder and the interior noise went up significantly. Had i known it sounded so good I would have done it in the first place and saved alot of money. I would recommend the 40 if you do not mind the interior noise.

Message: Hey, I have the 40 Series Deltaflow and it sounds mean. Loud and it rumbles. Its a cat-back, dual out into 3.5 inch tips. I had the regular 40 series on my 92 V6 Dak and it had a drone in it at cruising speed. But now I really love what I have now. It sounds awesome. If you want a little quieter go with the 50 series Delta. It sounds really nice and it turns heads when I get on it hard. Check out the prices of them here if you are interested:
