I just purchased a 1995 Dakota Ext. Cab 5.2l 4X4, and when I purchased this truck the fuel guage read 3/8's of a tank. After I filled the truck up full with gas the guage dropped to empty and has not moved since. My trip home was over 300 miles and nothing has changed. Any ideas to what might be wrong, I know it could be the sending unit in the tank, but is there a way to check this without dropping the tank. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
