 Subject: HOW? True duals on 97 5.2 4wd ext cab?

Can someone please help me w/ running true duals (with 2 mufflers and 2 hi flow cats) on a a 4wd 5.2 97 dakota ext cab with the 22gal gas tank? A lot of people say its impossible but i've heard of it being done? NOTE: I don't have to worry about the o2 sensor by the cat, it's rigged so the check engine light won't go on. Getting desperate,

Spintech Makes 1 it was in truckin magazine a month or 2 ago the 1 w/ the big dodge teck section. you have to route both pipes down the passanger side then split them after the axle. The spitech is a dual side exit before the right rear tire

www.spintechmufflers.com The only way to run true duals on our trucks is to run both pipes down the passenger side. Most people don't think of true duals that way so will tell you it's impossible because of fuel tank. The Spintech kit isn't cheap. I was quoted over $800, but it includes everything from the header collectors(yes new downpipes) to the tip.

Sorry to be sounding so stupid, but do have a few more questions. First, does this spintech kit have 2 cats, and 2 mufflers? And did you put this on yourself if so how hard was it or how much did it cost to have someone do it? Also can anyone tell me how and where to position 2 cats if I can find someone to bend the rest of my pipe for me b/c I went to one garage and he said I can't go from one cat to 2 cats, was he just being lazy or is this true? I NEED to be road legal, which is having cats and mufflers in this stupid state. Can I run 2 cats, x pipe, and 2 flowmasters, IF someone will bend the pipes for me? Well, if you want to be fully legal, you can't even remove your stock cat. The emissions equiptment on the vehicle from the factory is required by federal law. As far as the Spintech kit, it is not street legal and does not come with any cats.

DAHEMIKOTA has true duals. Pipes are on each side of the truck. With cats and mufflers on each side. They exit in front of the rear tires. I think he got them from Laperriere Engneering. www.1stpage.com/laperriere
