I have a 97 dakota with a 5.2l 5 speed. got some basic mods but i also have alot of wheel hop, i was wondering what the best way to get more traction was.

Spring clamps (two per leaf) is a very effective and inexpensive way to virtually eliminate wheel hop.

get traction bars...WELL worth it. the spring clamps do work but #1 not as good imo and #2 if u make some good power they wont hold up, ive seen bent leafs. i just adde3d my t bars and love em!! i was skeptical too but dont regret it. and dont get lakewoods!

I have a 99 dak 4x4 cc 5.2L 5speed I also have bad wheelhop I have axle clamps and they took care of alot of it but it is still apparent especialy on the 1-2 shift whats wrong w/ lakewood traction bars where can I get the HD versions summit has 1 kind listed for $38 in chrome.

I read here that the leaf that clamps to the front of the leaf, is about the sme thing as the RM active susp. Is this true?

ive got a 92 dakota 318 with a 5 speed conversion with lakewood traction bars and they bent my leaf springs a lot

i put the lakewood HD on my 2001 4.7 3.92 lsd 5 spd. MSE. this sucker had wheel hop so bad it wasn't funny. bent the springs before i got the bars ! it stays on the ground now ! and the front end dosn't lift up so much when you launch it anymore.
best E.T. 15.605 @ 85.88 mph at great lakes dragaway. this was before i got the bars. can't wait for the track to open for the season. less than a month to go. april 5 th.
