Ummm,
I think I've got some ghosts in my doors and they like to play with the power locks. All of a sudden, the locks will try to unlock themselves for no reason what-so-ever. (silly ghosts) And then, every once in awhile, they will try to lock! (they get bored unlocking and try to lock us in I think) SO the question is; does anybody happen to know any good exorcisms for making the doors stop there silly activity.
(I am thinking it is the sensor in the doors that is not aligned properly, BUT you never really know...)

It probably doesn't help,,but on every vehicle (EXCEPT MY DAKOTA), my power locks will do that on a really hot day.

I'll lock, or unlock them,,,and as I walked away could hear them unlock/lock themselves. Really ticked me off. Maybe it's a heat thing?

Mine have done that as well. One time while I was driving it went nuts and unlocked and locked like 50 times. I pulled the negative cable on the battery and let it sit for like 5 minutes and it hasnt done it again. not sure what caused it.

this is the craziest thing ive heard in a while... the only suggestion i have is depending on if you have an alarm..maybe that has something to do with it...i didnt have a fact. alarm, then put in a viper, and now the locks act differently, like they unlock when the truck is put in park, and engage at lower rpm automatically..hope it helps.

Dakotas and the Durangos have been notorious for ghost locks. There is a TSB out on that for a couple years. It think it is merely a computer bug the dealer can fix.

hey guys somethin really strange happened to me the other nite while i waz sittin in my friend's driveway...i pushed my driver's side lock down "manual locks" and my passenger lock unlocked...so my friend reached over and locked it back...then my driver's side unlocked byitself...so i locked it again and sure enough the passenger side lock popped up again...so then we counted to three and both pushed the locks down at once...and my radio turned on and my tailgate opened!...i sometimes hear voices and see dead people...my mom says im special...just take the doors off the hinges and you wont have to worry about it...

Maybe, Your key fob or somebody else's is hitting something in the pocket or purse? Some are a little more sensitive than others. Just my 2 cents. ;)
