Message: I have a 94 Dakota, ext cab, V-8, 4X4. I recently had a nightmare of an experience having the trans replaced. It took over a month for this place to fix it, a Multistate Transmission facility. Anyway, after it was done, it seemed ok and I was supposed to take it back 2 weeks ago for them to look at the trans to make sure everything was ok. I haveny had a chance, but I did change my oil today and I noticed that the shield that covers the trans, right behind the oil pan (Im not a mechanic, so thats the best I can describe it), is only partially covering whatever the device is that is inside the trans at that point. I can see moving parts when my engine is running. Am I supposed to be able to see this? It was not like that before, Ive had the truck 4 years now and I never noticed it. Im very hesitant to go back, I dont want to lose my truck again for another moment!!!
