 Subject: a different kind of intake Q

I was wondering if it would be even worth trying to make a home brew intake that was like a big "Y" and had two air filters at the end. The "Y" would try to go as close to either the wheel wells, or maybe the grill.
Along the same lines, I was wondering if it would work to take out the fog lights and make some kind of cone insert that would act like ram air?
Am I crazy?

I am crazy. Looked at it last night and there is no way (without moving all kinds of stuff) Guess I'll just have to get a shaker, ahh well :)
