Subject: Turndown after y-pipe is loud as f'k. IP: Logged
Message: Hahaha, I was messing with my exhaust and didn't get a chance to finish it so I had been running around town with a turndown thrown onto the pipe right after the y-connector. I don't know how you straight pipe people do it. At 2-3K RPM the drone is so bad, I can't hear a single thing.
*BLAAAAAAP*
It's Montana, so no one notices; I'd like to drive through downtown Seattle and do that.
How obnoxious too -- but funny.

Message: This is why I bought my exhaust cutout with McCord Power Plate... From inside the truck I can open the plate and duplicate that "dumped Y-pipe" sound. Scares the crap out of the ricers with fart cans. Had a slightly modded Mustang GT start chasing after me wanting to line up a race, and I wanted to take him up on the offer - I still had my E/T Streets on the truck from racing this morning... He weaves through traffic to get up next to me, and then I open up the cutout and romp on it from a 3-2 downshift... BRAAAAAP!!!! He chickened out so fast that he swerved to the right lane and came to a virtual stop. Laughed my a$$ off at him and drove home.

Message: SinCity... i have to say that was the funniest story ive heard in a long time....Im actually going to do the same but.. im having second thoughts.. i heard that putting the cutouts can jack your engine.. is it possible to put them on right before your muffler is? have you had any problems with the cutouts? thanks !!

Message: You wont throw a code with the cut out because all it needs is a temperature difference bettween the before cat o2 and the after cat o2 sensor. Heck I run mine with a gutted cat and both sensors in and no problems for over 3 months now.
