saw it done before on daks,we did this years ago on mustangs.bypass the coolant flow to the tb housing.anyone recommend this, and best procedure
on the 4.7?(idea is no hot coolant in tb housing, cooler air intake.(cheap and easy mod)its ok in summer.but during cold weather, probably not a good mod.i do not know why i am hung up on the cooler air intake deal.

You're in luck.... the coolant doesn't even flow into the intake manifold, much less the TB. The intake is plastic and doesn't need to be cooled off, and the TB is aluminum mounted onto plastic. There's nothing to bypass.....

There is a heater hose that is close to the tb. This can be re-routed.

If that pair of heater hoses has enough heat to be heating up an aluminum throttlebody while the vehicle is in motion, then you'd see that intake manifold getting soft & squishy during the summer months.

I don't think so......

We were kind of asking you the same thing? Why are you trying to figure out a coolant bypass for the TB when there's no coolant going to the TB??

sounds like nitroussteve has inhaled too much dihydrogenoxide. How many of you are smart enough to know what that is?

Pretty Common Stuff around Rivers and Ground water. Maybe he lives in Missouri where the whole Neighborhood had to move out of their homes because of dihydrogen oxide.

Everyone should have their homes tested for it, might save a small childs Life or something.
