Message: Which is more important to follow; the mileage or the months. Example change plugs at 20k or 24mths which ever comes first. I live in a small town and it would take longer than 24mths to go 20k. So far I have been going by the mileage. Opinions.

Message: this is a loaded question
if its driven daily mileage
if its a second vehicle months
but its good practice not to excced one or the other, and like every thing there are exceptions: spark plugs dont wear out doing nothing,

Message: Things that won't degrade over time just sitting there should be changed according to mileage recommendations, like spark plugs. If you think you will not reach the mileage first, then things that do break down over time should be changed according to time intervals, like oil, antifreeze, etc.
