Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth P0460 Fuel level sensor voltage unchanged over accumulated mileage

Can anyone tell me what the above is supposed to mean in English, before I tell the dealer to go ahead and spend my $241.00 to get this fixed.

Error codes are great but if you don't understand the language they may as well be greek!

Thanks in advance!

have you been using SHELL GAS . VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU TALK TO DODGE IF YOU HAVE
SHELL put an additive in there gas that screwwed with the electrics in the fuel tanks this past fall, gumming up sensors and just being a plain nusance. one note youll have to prove you have been religously using their gas
not only dodge but alot of others fords ,GM etc got wacked as well , apparently shell tried to take on petro canada with there winter gas formula and it flopped

Hi Chris,

No. I have never put Shell gas in this truck. It has always gotten the high octane stuff from Mobil. I bought it with 27k on it as a used truck so theres no telling what the first owner ran through it? It has 42k on it now and hasn't had any trouble, knock on wood!

Thanks for the info.

Gordon

If I were you, I would just unhook my battery cable for 10 minutes and reset the computer. Who knows? This code may never show up again.
