Reg cab 4.7 5 speed 3.92 gears and LSD. Just need to breath on this thing and it will have good power then.

I got a 2000 RC, 4.7, 5-speed, 3.92 open.
I have the HO cams, flomaster 50-series with one in and two out, and K/N filter.
The only thing I regret is not getting limited slip because it loves to spin tires.

Me too. 2000 rc 4.7 5 speed 3.92 sure grip. Flowmaster 40, and a 360AirIntake. Ran a 14.9 on the street tires.

Really? You think they are ugly. I've always found them a lot nicer and sporty looking. On Dodges, Chevys and Fords. To each their own, I guess.
Not really impractical, but you do give up space and utility for cost and a good look (to some).
I would never go CC though, I'd go straight to Quad. Maybe there are a lot more people like me and that's why the new Rams don't come in a CC.

funny...I actually have a quadcab, good call. I guess I'm a little envious of how much faster you lightweights are, but I need the space more than the speed. Anyways, good choice on the dodge (whatever trim you may have).

Just got a RC '03 4.7 5sp Sport Plus 2x4 with anti spin. Had to order it. The gentleman at the dealership couldn't find a new one in the four north western states. Mostly extended cabs and 4x4s up here. No regrets--best truck ever.
And the 2x4 is amazing in the snow, though you need about three bags of sand. Elsewise, I can't pull above 2000rpm in the passes without going for the ditch. T's worth it.

Mines a Quad, 4.7, 5spd manual, LSD, HO cams, etc.
However, I DRIVE mine! I bought it to DRIVE it!
It's a family car, boat tower (got TT and HD group), etc. But I DRIVE mine.
Steve, just giving you a hard time 'cause you don't have any miles on your truck! DRIVE that puppy!

i know,i know.i only drive it when the weather is nice.i am planning alot of trips to shows etc. this year,so should gain some miles.i only live 5 miles from work,so that keeps it low.
my dad bought a enclosed race trailer with gen,air comp,heat,air conditioning,tv,vcr,the works.so i can borrow it if i need to haul to somewhere.so there goes some miles!

Me, a few hours out of Spokane. Just leaving to go to McDonalds. Being only a few blocks away, I have to drive through the country for about 3 miles before heading in. Keeps the crankcase dry. Anyone else get all that white fudge under the valve covers?? That stuff has to eat cams. These big sumps really steam up. As a daily driver, they really do require special attention.
