Subject: Code 55??? Maybe? IP: Logged
Message: I have a 92 dak with a 318 in it. A buddy of mine told me to turn the key three times to see if it was throwing any codes, cuz the maintainance required light is on. It flashed five times, paused, and then flashed another five times. I dont know if it means anything... maybe just a reset, cuz i did the tune up and replaced everything needed. Havent had time to takl to the neighbor that works at the local chrysler dealership yet, any info would be appreciated!

Message: "55" is end of message code, the maintenance required light is just a service reminder for emissions. See if your neighbor will reset the light with a DRB-II.

Message: The code 55 is the end code. If you want more information about other codes buy a haynes manual from your local auto store, it tells how to get the codes, what they mean and how to reset the computer and get that annoying light to turn off. If I remember correctly you don't need any special tools to turn the light off.
