Message: ricardcapecod: I have similar mods to my '01 RC 4.7 5-spd 3:92LSD as you. The one potential improvement I see to yours is a Magnaflow y-pipe and a 3" catalytic converter; those items gave my Dak a 1mpg gain. I get 18.5 to 20 mpg routinely.

in the dead of winter i got about 7 mpg. this is in constant 4x4 and letting it run for ten to fifteen minutes every morning
about half and half 4x4 and more highway driving, i got 11 mpg
in the middle of testing warm weather driving now, supposedly it should be around 15

Message: My old 95 with 3.9L auto 4x4 used to get 16-17 combined in 2 wd. towing, I got 10-14 depending on weight of trailer/cargo and speed. In 4x4 all the time in winter, including a 2-5 minute warm up time I got 12-14.
